Know what you’re purchasing

With our pre-purchase pool and spa inspection, you will buy with confidence. The following lists detail what we include in our inspection report, and how we do it.

Swimming Pool Inspection

  1.  The pool interior surface. Visual inspection; checked for cracks, stains, blackspot and osmosis.
  2.  The pool coping. Checked for cracks, degradation, distortion and subsidence.
  3.  Waterline tiles. Checked for cracked or damaged tiles, staining and calcium deposits.
  4.  Main drain. Condition checked and cover in place.
  5.  Skimmer box. Condition checked and basket, vacuum plate & lid in good order.
  6.  Pool pump. Condition checked, checked for excessive noise, leaks, lid and basket in good order.
  7.  Pool filter. Condition checked, and Multiport Valve checked (if applicable).
  8.  Chlorinator. Condition checked, salt cells checked (if applicable), chlorine/acid feeder system checked (if applicable).
  9.  Lights. Operation and signs of water ingress checked.
  10.  Return eyeballs. Condition checked.
  11.  Pool cleaner. Condition checked.
  12.  Cleaning and maintenance equipment. Condition checked.
  13.  The pool fence or gate. Checked if self-closing and self-latching.
  14.  Water balance. Levels checked on total and free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid (stabiliser), and salt/minerals.
  15.  Skimmer and return lines pressure tested to check for leaks. Where practicable (additional charges may apply).

Spa Inspection

  1.  The pool interior surface. Visual inspection, checked for cracks, stains, blackspot and osmosis.
  2.  Skimmer box. Condition checked, basket and skimmer flap in good condition.
  3.  Pool pump. Condition checked, checked for excessive noise, leaks, lid and basket in good order.
  4.  Pool filter. Condition checked.
  5.  Lights. Operation checked and signs of water ingress.
  6.  Return jets. Condition checked.
  7.  Water balance. Levels checked on total and free chlorine, pH, total alkalinity, calcium hardness, salt/minerals.
  8.  Spa electrical safety.
  9.  Spa Cover. Checked for damage and water ingress.
  10.  Cover lifter. Condition and functionality checked.
  11.  Head Rest. Condition checked.
